“To Help Promote Minor League Football”

Just having a little fun since "no one really cares about semi-pro football", WE DO!  The kickoff to each season in the SAFL starts with a Jamboree, well in our case, a Kingaree, when we bring all the teams in a division to one city and have a weekend full of events.  The first day, Friday, all the SAFL teams and players are encouraged to perform a charitable act or do community service, children’s hospital, retirement homes, food drives, neighborhood cleanup, etc.  The following day, Saturday, is a full day of football with teams being paired up to play against one another.  For two quarters, this will start in the afternoon and go into the later evening.  Also, throughout the games we will have spacewalks, games, giveaways, music and of course lots of food!!  The ten that performs or has the most players involved in the events that weekend gets the golden plungers and toilet bowl T-shirts, that night after the games player are invited to the league mixture or party (girlfriend and wives too!)  The following morning, Sunday, all teams are invited to the SAFL Spiritual Brunch and then attend church service.  This will conclude the weekend events and get everyone ready for the season on the road to the King Bowl!
